Obstacle avoidance error

The navigation obstacle-avoidance module (which uses DJI's drone obstacle-sensing tech) is malfunctioning.
Fix: Hold the robot's start button for 5 seconds to power off, place it back on the base station, then restart the task.
Ultrasonic sensor error

The ultrasonic distance sensor isn't responding correctly.
Fix: Power off for 5 seconds via the start button, return to the base station, then restart. Contact DJI Support if it repeats.
Infrared sensor error
warning
The infrared sensor used for wall-following and collision avoidance has failed.
Fix: Power off for 5 seconds, return to the base station, then restart the task.
Right side edge sensor blurred. Wipe clean

Dust or residue is covering the right-side edge sensor.
Fix: Clean the sensor with a cotton swab or soft cloth, then place the robot back at the base station and restart.
Vacuum cleaner motor error

The vacuum motor failed its self-check, so the robot can't vacuum and the task pauses.
Fix: Check the dustbin and airway for a clog; if it's clear, power-cycle the robot and try again.
Device system error

A software fault, often after an incomplete update.
Fix: Update the app and firmware to the latest version; power-cycle the robot; if it persists, delete and rebuild the map.
Connection error between robot and base station

Dirt on the base station's alignment markers, or an object blocking the dock.
Fix: Clear any objects inside the base, wipe the reflective stickers clean, then update app/firmware and retry.
Mop pad extension module stuck by foreign object

Hair or debris is tangled in the mechanism that extends the mop pad for edge cleaning.
Fix: Turn the robot over, remove the tangled debris, place it on open floor, then short-press start to resume.
Base station water tank float stuck / overflow

The float valve that regulates water level in the self-clean base is jammed.
Fix: Check whether the float moves freely and clear the drain pipe of any blockage.
Task been paused for too long

The robot sat idle mid-task past the app's timeout window, usually after getting stuck.
Fix: Check where the robot stopped for an obstruction, clear it, then resume or restart the task from the app.
Device self-check failed

The robot failed its own startup self-check and the task is paused.
Fix: Update the app and firmware to the latest version, then power off 5 seconds via the start button, place back on the base, and restart the task.
Cleaning solution used up or not properly installed

The base station's cleaning-solution cartridge is empty or not seated, so it falls back to plain water for mopping.
Fix: Check the cleaning solution has enough left, then remount the cartridge firmly in place.
Mop pad rotating shaft stuck by foreign object

Hair or debris is tangled around the spinning mop shaft, or the mop motor is overloaded - this is different from the edge-extension mechanism above.
Fix: Flip the robot over, clear anything tangled around the shaft, and pull the mop plate outward to remove it for a full clean.
Battery low. Robot automatically returning to base station

Battery dropped below about 10%, so the robot pauses the task and returns itself to the dock - this is expected safety behavior, not a fault.
Fix: Let it recharge at the dock; the task usually resumes automatically once charged.
