Obstacle avoidance error warning
The navigation obstacle-avoidance module (which uses DJI's drone obstacle-sensing tech) is malfunctioning.
Fix: Hold the robot's start button for 5 seconds to power off, place it back on the base station, then restart the task.
Ultrasonic sensor error warning
The ultrasonic distance sensor isn't responding correctly.
Fix: Power off for 5 seconds via the start button, return to the base station, then restart. Contact DJI Support if it repeats.
Infrared sensor error warning
The infrared sensor used for wall-following and collision avoidance has failed.

Hair or debris is tangled in the mechanism that extends the mop pad for edge cleaning.
Fix: Turn the robot over, remove the tangled debris, place it on open floor, then short-press start to resume.
Base station water tank float stuck / overflow Base station float stuck / overflow warning
The float valve that regulates water level in the self-clean base is jammed.
Fix: Check whether the float moves freely and clear the drain pipe of any blockage.
Task been paused for too long Task paused too long info
The robot sat idle mid-task past the app's timeout window, usually after getting stuck.
Fix: Check where the robot stopped for an obstruction, clear it, then resume or restart the task from the app.

Error 1 Wheel stuck or hanging info
One or both wheels are lifted off the ground, or the robot is stuck against an obstacle.
Fix: Move the robot to an open, flat area and restart cleaning.
Error 2 Main brushes can't turn warning
Hair, string or debris is wrapped around the main brush.
Fix: Remove the main brush and clear anything wrapped around it, then reseat it.
Error 5 Side wheel(s) can't turn warning
Debris is stuck in a wheel well, or the wheel assembly is jammed.
Fix: Turn the robot over and clear debris from around both wheel wells.
Error 6 Cliff sensor problem info
A cliff sensor is dirty or the robot is near a ledge/stairs/dark reflective floor.
Fix: Wipe the cliff sensors on the underside with a dry cloth and move the robot away from ledges.
Error 7 Wheel can't turn (600 series) warning
Wheel obstructed by debris or hair.
Fix: Clean around the wheel and drop-sensor area, then restart.
Error 8 Vacuum motor struggling warning
The vacuum motor is drawing too much current, usually from a clogged bin or filter.
Fix: Empty the bin and clean or replace the filter.
Error 9 Bumper stuck info
The front bumper is pressed in and not releasing, often from debris behind it.
Fix: Gently tap the bumper on all sides to free it and clear any debris underneath.
Error 10 Wheel problem - robot may circle warning
One drive wheel isn't extending fully.
Fix: Remove the wheel module if possible and clear debris; otherwise contact support.
Error 11 Insufficient airflow info
Filter or bin path is clogged, restricting suction.
Fix: Remove and clean the bin, filter and the extractor/brush area.
Error 14 Bin not detected info
The bin isn't seated correctly or its contact points are dirty.
Fix: Remove the bin, wipe the metal contacts, and reseat it firmly.
Error 15 Internal error (usually self-resolves) info
A transient software/hardware fault.
Fix: Restart the robot. If it repeats, factory-reset via the app.
Error 16 Tilted at start info
The robot was picked up or started on an uneven/soft surface.
Fix: Place it on a flat hard floor and restart.
Error 17 Navigation problem - robot got lost info
Mapping sensors lost track of position, often in a dark or reflective room.
Fix: Increase lighting if possible and restart the cleaning job.
Error 18 Docking problem info
Robot could not see or align with the dock's infrared signal.
Fix: Clean the dock's contacts and IR window, make sure nothing blocks the space in front of it.
Error 19 Cliff sensor triggered near the dock info
A cliff sensor picks up a ledge or drop right by the dock's launch point.
Fix: Clean the cliff sensors and check the floor in front of the dock for reflective or dark strips.
Error 21 Internal communication error warning
A circuit board communication fault.
Fix: Restart the robot; if persistent, contact iRobot support - this is a hardware-level fault.
Error 22 Robot stuck info
Physically wedged under furniture or against an object.
Fix: Free the robot and restart in a more open area, or set a keep-out zone in the app.
Error 23 Battery not communicating warning
Poor connection between the battery and main board, or a failing battery.
Fix: Reseat the battery if removable; if the fault persists the battery likely needs replacing.
CHG 1 Battery not detected warning
Battery disconnected or failed.
Fix: Check the battery is seated; if not user-replaceable, contact support.
CHG 3 Charging system fault warning
Fault in the dock or the robot's charging circuit.
Fix: Try a different outlet for the dock; if it persists, the dock or charging circuit needs service.
CHG 5 No charging current warning
The robot isn't receiving current from the dock's contacts.
Fix: Clean both the robot's and the dock's charging contacts with a dry cloth.
CHG 8 Battery communication fault warning
The battery can't report its status to the robot.
Fix: Usually indicates the battery needs replacement.

Error 1 LiDAR turret blocked or dirty info
Something is covering or obstructing the spinning laser sensor on top, or it's blocked by an obstacle.
Fix: Check for tape, stickers or dust on the turret and clean it; if it can't be cleared, move the robot to a new spot and restart.
Error 2 Bumper stuck info
The front bumper isn't releasing after contact, often debris behind it.
Fix: Lightly tap the bumper several times to free debris; if there's no debris, move the robot to a new spot and restart.
Error 3 Wheels suspended info
The robot thinks it's been picked up (wheel drop sensor triggered).
Fix: Move it to a new spot on the floor and restart.
Error 4 Cliff sensor error info
Cliff sensors are dirty or the robot is hanging over an edge.
Fix: Wipe the cliff sensors clean, or move the robot to a new spot and restart.
Error 5 Main brush jammed warning
Hair or debris wrapped around the main brush.
Fix: Remove the main brush and bearings to clean them.
Error 6 Side brush jammed info
Debris caught in the side brush.
Fix: Remove the side brush and clear the screw and debris.
Error 7 Main wheel jammed by debris warning
Debris blocking a drive wheel.
Fix: Clear debris from the wheel wells.
Error 8 Robot trapped info
Physically boxed in by furniture or cables.

Error 9 Dustbin not installed / not detected info
The dustbin is missing or not seated properly.

Error 10 Filter not dry / blocked warning
Water got into the filter, or it's clogged with fine dust.
Fix: Air-dry the filter for at least 24 hours, or clean/replace it.
Error 11 Strong magnetic field detected info
Started too close to a virtual wall / magnetic strip.
Fix: Move the robot to a new spot away from the magnetic strip and restart.
Error 12 Low battery info
Battery charge is too low to continue.
Fix: Return it to the dock to recharge.
Error 13 Charging abnormal warning
Poor contact between robot and dock.
Fix: Wipe both the robot's charging contacts and the dock's charging pins with a dry cloth.
Error 15 / 26 Wall sensor dirty or blocked info
Sensor used for wall-following is obstructed. (Code 15 on newer models, 26 on older ones like the S5 Max.)
Fix: Wipe the side-facing wall sensor with a dry cloth.
Error 18 Vacuum fan abnormal warning
The main fan motor is overloaded or failing.
Fix: Try resetting the system; check for a clog in the airflow path first.
Error 19 Charging dock not powered warning
The dock isn't receiving power.
Fix: Confirm the power cable is properly plugged into both the dock and the wall outlet.
Error 22 Dock locator dirty info
The sensor the robot uses to visually find the dock is obstructed.
